Why we started Our Tales

Our Tales began with a personal mission. With my daughter's family scattered across two continents, I realized early on how fragile connections can become over great distances. I wanted to ensure that she doesn't just know her roots as an abstract narrative, but experiences them as a living part of her identity—even if she rarely sees the people and places of her heritage.

But distance isn't only measured in miles; the true challenge is time. Memories inevitably fade, traditions lose their shape without a place, and the stories of those who have already left us risk falling silent over the years. We created Our Tales to stop this gradual loss and give what defines us a lasting foundation.
