Getting Started & Creation
I'm not a writer. Do I have to write the whole story myself?
No, we take care of that. You just give us bullet points, names, and the main thread. Our technology weaves them into a cohesive narrative. Tip: The more details you provide, the more personal the result – but you don't need to write perfect sentences.
What photos work best for the characters?
A well-lit full-body photo works best, ideally showing the whole outfit, with the face clearly visible. Please avoid sunglasses, hats or obscured faces so we can transform the person into illustrations as accurately as possible.
Can I create a story for multiple people?
Yes! You can define up to 4 main characters (e.g., parents and children). The story will then focus on the shared experiences of this group.
Order & Payment
What if I don't like the result?
We want you to be 100% happy. If the book absolutely doesn't meet your expectations, just contact us – we'll find a solution or refund your purchase.
Are there hidden costs or a subscription?
No. You pay a one-time fee of €7.90 for creation and download of your book. There are no recurring charges. Printed books start at €14.90 plus shipping.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Klarna through our secure partner Stripe.
Production & Delivery
When and how will I receive my book?
You'll receive your book as a high-resolution PDF via email – usually 15 to 30 minutes after you submit your details. You can then edit any page yourself until it's right. If you ordered a printed book, we print it once you've finished it in the editor and send it to you by post.
Can I have the PDF printed?
Absolutely! The PDF is high-resolution and perfectly suited for printing. You can print it at home or take it to a local print shop. Or order it from us as a softcover or a hardcover, printed and sent to your home.
How do the people look in the book?
We don't create 1:1 photo copies, but artful interpretations in your chosen style (e.g., watercolor). The character features remain recognizable but are aesthetically stylized – like in a real picture book.
Customization & Changes
Can I change text or images afterwards?
Yes! That's exactly what our editor is for: after creation you can edit every text directly, regenerate any image with your own instructions, change the title and add a personal dedication. Your book only becomes final once you complete it.
What happens to my uploaded photos?
Your privacy is sacred to us. Your photos are used exclusively for creating the illustrations. You can find more details in our privacy policy.
Can I download the book again later?
Yes, your download link remains valid for at least 30 days. We still recommend saving the PDF locally on your computer or phone so it's yours forever.
